A piece that tells the story of the present era. Using the latest smartphones, we are capturing the night line of JAL aircraft from the Observation Deck of Terminal 1. The blur of the night view beyond the wire fence is also good. The equipment is a mirrorless R6, and the subject is a state-of-the-art Airbus A350 on the other side of the smartphone screen. I've been here many times, but the only purpose of using my smartphone is to see the Flightradar24 app. There is no such selection in a normal Photo Contest, but I think it's fresh and good.
Charlie Furusho
I think it's on the edge of the upper floor of the Observation Deck of Terminal 1, but I've been shooting the night view of JAL aircraft many times here. Regardless of the arrangement of the aircraft, the terminal building is inevitably included, and it is always difficult to get a good angle. Here, the author devised a way to get through with the idea of taking a picture of the screen of a smartphone at an angle. The point is that there is no waste on the screen of the smartphone.

This is beautiful. The orange evening sky over the Tokyo Gate Bridge makes the light up stand out beautifully. The green light is also one point, and above all, it is good that the position of the takeoff plane is just in the center. It's hard to get in here, and the large Boeing 777 is working. Is it all calculated to aim for exquisite timing with a super-telephoto lens? It is a picture that seems to be taken but cannot be taken.
Charlie Furusho
There are many entries for the Tokyo Gate Bridge, but the composition of the bridge looks like symmetry, and the background is orange. It is also nice that the position of the aircraft and the green color of the Wakasu Elevating Tower Observatory in the center of the photo are one point and add color. Not to mention the lens selection (framing), the shooting data such as white balance, ISO sensitivity, shutter speed and aperture tells us that it is a work that is difficult for the author and cannot be taken easily.

It has evolved into a digital camera and it has become easier to take pictures at night, but even so, it is a picture that cannot be taken without technology. I like the "offensive" attitude of using a super-telephoto lens of 600mm at the moment of landing at Haneda during this time and applying reverse. It is wonderful that the silhouette of the pilot in the cockpit emerges from Terminal 3 of the shooting location, aiming at the place with the most lights. Although it is a panning shot, it is a really clear work.
Charlie Furusho
Stop by flowing 600 mm at a shutter speed of 1/10. It's a tremendous technology. Night panning is a cut that anyone who shoots airplanes longs for, but it can't be completed without expensive equipment, skill, and proper image processing. Since the ISO sensitivity is low, noise is not a concern, and the necessary parts from shadows to highlights are reproduced firmly by appropriate contrast processing. In addition, it is a dramatic work that conveys the silhouette of the pilot and the inside of the plane.

A piece from Haneda Innovation City. A low rainbow appears in the daytime when the sun is still high. Looking at the ground, it seems that it was just after the heavy rain, but did you bet on the possibility of shooting from this place at this timing? It is a work that you can feel that you can take a rainbow even in Haneda.
Charlie Furusho
JAL and ANA lined up in Terminal 3, and Vistala Airlines, which just entered service in July 2021, are just right for the Haneda Airport Photo Contest. Even if a rainbow appears, the color may be light, and it is difficult to produce the color, but it can be expressed beautifully. The framing is also great.

This is amazing while the number of flights is reduced due to the corona sickness. It is surprisingly easy to capture many ANA aircraft from Terminal 2 on one screen, but this is all JAL aircraft from Terminal 3 Terminal 1. In addition to the fact that there are no other airlines, the three moving aircraft have entered exquisitely, and the name "JAPAN AIRLINE" can be seen on all aircraft.
Charlie Furusho
Eight JAL aircraft, and all B767, B777, B787, and A350 wide-body aircraft are included, which is a rare sight to see. Since there is also a takeoff aircraft, I think that I calculated the standing position and released the shutter assuming that I might enter here, but that feeling of exhilaration is transmitted.

There was also this year, a thundercloud emanating from cumulonimbus clouds around Haneda Airport. The thunder and lightning are entwined with the aircraft that is brilliantly parked. The timing is excellent as thunderclouds move over time. Since the sky at the shooting location is missing, it is a lightning that is far away, but this is one that I would like to take.
Charlie Furusho
You often came across such a dramatic scene. Looking at the author's comment, it is said that my home has returned to get a tripod and stepladder right next to me, which is a merit because it is close, but since lightning has to press the shutter many times with reflexes and bad sources. The hardship is transmitted.

It is a piece that was informed that there was such a scene on the aircraft heading for Haneda. Probably it seems to be a scene coming down with RWY16 in the south wind, but while capturing the Tokyo Gate Bridge and Mt. Fuji, I put the bridge in the upper part and cut it out to build a picture. The color of the sky, the silhouette of Mt. Fuji, and the gradation of the exquisite color difference between the forest in the foreground and Tanzawa are also beautiful.
Charlie Furusho
In the evening of a good visibility day, I felt the difference from other works not only in the collaboration between Mt. Fuji and the airplane, but also in the idea of putting the Tokyo Gate Bridge in front. In addition, the calculated standing position of the author who brings the aircraft to this position is also wonderful, and although the scenery of Mt. Fuji is often submitted, it is a piece that feels fresh.

The rainbow is out for a short time, so it's only a few minutes chance. The background is sunny, so I think this is no exception. At that timing, the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 is entwined, and surprisingly, the fence that we usually avoid while shooting is also included in the tetrapod to create the work. I think the angle and shutter timing are good.
Charlie Furusho
A rainbow after the rain hangs on the Airbus A350. It is a wonderful piece. It is also a point that the empty part is wide and the aircraft is placed under the framing. I like the fact that the image processing is finished in a soft and fluffy color.

The title is "Home Road". A piece that inflates the imagination that you are about to take an airplane and go home. It is such a one-shot that a person is settled in the center of the departure lobby, which seems to be an international flight, and there are no people around, which makes the subject stand out more.
Charlie Furusho
A picture with few colors close to monotone, a silhouette and reflection of the floor, a framing with a clock and a pillar of the counter of Terminal 3. It's a very nice image that looks like an airport poster. From this one, how many travelers are the main characters and where are they going? It is a work that conveys the author's aim by expanding various imaginations.

This photo was fresh while there were many works of Mt. Fuji seen from Haneda Airport. As some of you may know that a wedding ceremony can be held at the Galaxy Hall on the 6th floor of Terminal 1, it is a piece that conveys that the wedding ceremony can be held while watching such a scene outside the window at night. It's a good representation of Haneda Airport, which is full of variety.
Charlie Furusho
Lean framing from the front to Mt. Fuji in the back. This cut is a work that cannot be realized without considering the brightness of the sky, the brightness of the table in front, the shadow part and the dynamic range, but it is a hat to the author's shooting timing and proper exposure. Another point is that the shutter speed is set so that the tail of the JAL aircraft can be seen to express movement and stillness.

It's nostalgic, it's 1982, but I also went to Haneda Airport. When I saw this picture, I was looking for myself on this Observation Deck. Not only the airplane but also the vehicles around the aircraft give a very Showa era feeling, and if you look closely, the construction of the offshore deployment has started, but it is a piece that reminds me of Haneda Airport at that time.
Charlie Furusho
It was taken in 1982, so when I started going to Haneda Airport with a compact camera, I remember the scenery I saw on the way to the southern end of the observation deck to take a picture of China Airlines. Japan Airlines DC-10, Mohawk color ANA B747SR, B737-200, YS11 can be seen in the back, and it is said that it was just after the introduction of DC-10, the color is beautiful and the storage condition of the film is also wonderful. increase.

When I saw this, I came up with Brooklyn, NY. To tell the truth, I had booked a NY flight right after the corona sickness started. The plan for NY after a long absence has been canceled and it continues to this day. This one scene in Tokyo that projects my thoughts. I think it's good that the two southerly landers are just involved.

The B787 can be seen in a small space below the center of the Tokyo Gate Bridge. Moreover, because it is a wide-body aircraft, it has a strong presence, and while it is not possible to see if it will enter here until the aircraft comes out, the timing is momentary. It is a very difficult piece. The idea is also great.

A scene where the old control tower seen from Terminal 3 is the main and the sun is shining. The United Airlines B787 landed there at the right time, and by chance, the moment when the B767 took off from Runway C was captured beautifully. By choosing a shutter speed of 1/1000, which I don't think I'm 16 years old, I thought it was a beautiful photo that "everything stopped beautifully."
Charlie Furusho
Haneda Airport has four companies, United Airlines, Skymark, JAL, and ANA in the back left, with a lean composition of diagonal composition with airplanes in the lower right and upper left, and a control tower shining in the oblique light. It is a work that has a uniqueness.

The author's episode, "Maybe it gets entangled with an airplane because cumulonimbus clouds have appeared." Meanwhile, the timing was in time for the shooting location. Surprisingly, these clouds change their appearance and disappear in 5 minutes, so I think it's probably one of the larger clouds than when they were discovered. I felt the greatness of this photo in that the airplane was one point and the clouds were the main points.
Charlie Furusho
I've been to Haneda for 7 years at the age of 18, and it's a wonderful work that can be used as an adult-like equipment and work, no longer a junior award but also in the general category. It is wonderful that the three-dimensional effect of the clouds is emphasized with the PL filter and the size of the clouds can be expressed by putting the aircraft in the lower left.

I'm not good at shooting with a smartphone. One piece that taught me how to shoot like this with a smartphone. I don't think the children would have turned up until the plane arrived, but I felt the work of this photo from the point that the children's eyes were facing the take-off aircraft at the right time.
Charlie Furusho
It is a work that conveys that "I took it casually." However, the point is that it is finished in one piece that makes you realize that "There is such a place at Haneda Airport" by using a set of pleasant blue sky, aircraft and children, and playset.
General comment
Luke Ozawa
The third Haneda Airport Photo Contest. 4 runways and 3 terminal buildings. Also, shots from the vicinity of the airport continued to evolve every year, and the entries were rich in variety this year as well. In recent years, while the number of local expeditions has decreased due to the corona disaster, I myself have increased the number of shootings in Haneda. In rural areas, the area around the airport is often more connected to the creation of works than the Observation Deck, but in Haneda, the Observation Deck is interesting. While reading the light, I sometimes travel between the three terminals by shuttle bus from morning till night when the deck is closed. The scenery that Haneda weaves is so deep that you will encounter new paintings over the years, and it is fun to make predictions and confront the sky by familiarizing yourself with them. In a sense, you may think that the best this time is "What is this?" However, I thought that this was the painting and symbolized the present era, so I pushed it to the best. I'm looking forward to making your work in the future.
Charlie Furusho
By seeing the works, everyone's passion and the charm of Haneda Airport were conveyed from each work. However, photography has the basics of photography, and it is possible to meet dramatic timings at the airport, calculate and take pictures, and finally, with appropriate image processing and printing technology, it will be finished as a work. Some of the works are super chances, but the camera settings and prints are badly rejected, and the photos are wonderful, but unfortunately they violate the application rules. It is also true that there was. I also shoot at Haneda Airport every month, but there are still more things I want to shoot, including the surrounding area, so I hope that you will understand the basics before shooting.
