Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones contain lithium ion batteries which are known to spontaneously combust. At present, Samsung is warning users of these devices not to power them up.

Therefore, for safety reasons, we are asking users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 for their cooperation as set out below while within airport facilities.

・ Ensure that your device is switched off
・ Refrain from recharging the battery in your device


In regard to its use on board the aircraft, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has issued a directive banning the carriage of this device on all aircraft.
